Deep Dive - ALKCM

Alex Cameron of Captured tracks fame really outdid himself back in 2016 with Real Bad Lookin and nobody noticed. Now it’s 2024 and the kids are inundated by self professed man-eating businesswomen masquerading as pop idols I.e. Billie eilish, cardi b and many more. Fortunately for me, I don’t rely on a dodgy clunky green colored app to decide my music choices for me. Where would the fun be in that? Imagine if nobody searched anymore for music they wants to hear but instead put all their brittle half assed and defeated faith into a search algorithm that took into consideration all of their at whim suggestions and fuck all of their personalities (or lack thereof). What they end up missing out on is the entire process of discovering music through adventure, fascination, and all of those motivators that make music worth listening to in the first place. I hope that all of the algorithm kids that hand over their memories and emotional state so easily to money and power hungry bent on retribution and equalizations all the while sacrificing the integrity And forthcoming of their society can learn how to take corporate drivel and publicity stakes with a grain of salt and modicum of skepticism because the technology they so desperately trust is consequently stealing from them their dignity ; the thing that makes their emotional discretion confident and effective. So that they don’t resemble the smelly fish dead in the water but a dignified soul capable of discussing what they choose to represent so affectionately because an app even with all the greatest employees in the world, still can’t do the talking for you.
